What tutorial do you think is missing ?

Hi,

I was about to write a tutorial on mapping synth and pattern
parameters to GUI and controllers, but why not first ask the learner
community ?

What subject do you think is not covered or not clear enough about
Supercollider ? What tutorial you would like to read ?

I would be interested in reading a tutorial on mapping synth and pattern parameters to controllers. :)

Actually the largest part of miSCellaneous lib is about synth and pattern control:
VarGui, PLx pattern suite, Tutorial files "Event patterns and LFOs" and
"Event patterns and Functions", the Buffer Granulation tutorial as an application of those.

Some alternate concepts of modularization have been discussed recently.

http://new-supercollider-mailing-lists-forums-use-these.2681727.n2.nabble.com/triggering-env-segments-with-pattern-td7613163.html

I didn't provide a gui solution in this thread, but the setup in Ex. 1c of
miSCellaneous lib's buffer granulation tutorial is basically the same -
here gui is included and you could easily apply the example to another sound synth.

Though of course every approach is somehow individually biased,
I focussed on SC-internal control, but external control might be only one step
further, combined with any internal control concept.

And of course further tutorials are welcome !

Greetings

Daniel

Sorry I was responding to this, just realised the whole thread is about some other issue.

@Tom Charles-Edwards: now I know it will be useful to someone at least =)

@alfonso santimone: sorry i don't use ddwVoicer so I think I'm not the
one who should write it :/

@albertoj: Live coding is a very broad subject, each one has a
different approach. Can you provide more details on what you would
like to see in the tuto ?

@Daniel Mayer: nice work!

@patrick: thanks to remind me this, I will try to be complementary to it

Hi,

There is a great tutorial by nescivi on using HID, MIDI and OSC interfaces
to create instruments.

https://github.com/sensestage/interface2instrument

Cheers,

Patrick

To get the values from the control signal use a Pfunc{ } then you can make any adjustments and mappings of the signal to any parameter of the synth.
